JEWELRY PICKS - SUMMER & BEYOND:
Jewelry has always held a special place in my heart and is a love of mine. It runs in my family, as my mother is a silversmith and creates beautiful jewelry. I remember going through all of her treasures, and beautiful jewels that she collected over the years, whether they were passed down or gifted to her by my dad. I love the hunt for different pieces that stand out, that not everyone has, a mix of chunky yet refined, effortless & timeless. Pieces that will last forever, whether that is fashion jewelry or fine jewelry.
I often get asked how do I wear my jewelry? How do I stack/mix my necklaces? Do I wear big/small pieces? Can I mix golds? I really don’t think there are any “rules” when it comes to jewelry, but here are a few tips to keep in mind when you are buying jewelry and choosing the perfect pieces to wear.
Balance: When accessorizing with jewelry, strive for balance. If you're wearing a statement necklace, go for simpler earrings or vice versa. Avoid overwhelming your outfit by choosing one or two standout pieces and keeping the rest more understated.
Complement your outfit: Jewelry should complement your outfit, not compete with it. Consider the colors, neckline, and overall style of your clothing when selecting your jewelry pieces. For example, if you're wearing a high-necked top, skip the necklace and focus on earrings or bracelets instead.
Mix and match: Don't be afraid to mix and match different metals, textures, and styles. Experiment with layering necklaces of varying lengths or stacking bracelets for a personalized and eclectic look. Just make sure the pieces work well together and create a cohesive aesthetic.
Confidence is key: Ultimately, wear jewelry that makes you feel confident and reflects your personal style. Whether you are wearing minimal or statement pieces, the most important thing is to wear them and feel joy and embrace your unique sense of fashion.
